SpecSheet AI is a focused V0.1 product for procurement, presales, and engineering teams that need to compare supplier documents without losing the source behind each value.
What we are building
The product reads PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, and offline HTML files. It identifies product and field candidates, maps labels to a canonical specification schema, normalizes a limited unit list, and keeps a source quote with each value.
The workflow ends with a human review and a frozen report snapshot. The current exports are CSV, Markdown, JSON, and PDF. The product is designed to make a comparison easier to check; it is not a testing lab, certification service, or general document chat tool.
How decisions stay traceable
Every candidate is tied to a document block and locator such as a PDF page, spreadsheet sheet and cell range, DOCX table, or CSV record. If values disagree, the conflict remains visible for a reviewer.
How uncertainty is shown
Supported means a source-backed value passed the checks. Missing means no candidate was found in readable, correctly associated sources. Unsupported means a candidate exists but cannot be verified. Conflict means incompatible candidates remain.
Current scope
- V0.1 supports technical product comparison only.
- The configured model proposes candidates; deterministic rules check units, evidence, ownership, and conflicts.
- Without a model key, the hosted trial uses its demo extractor for flow testing.
- Quote comparison, RFQ workflows, OCR, URL crawling, PIM catalogs, and automated payments are outside this release.
